I do not have enough EB in the kit when running an automated protocol. Why is this and what shall I do?
To simplify the manual preparation, the Elution Buffer (EB) is sometimes presented in large volume reservoirs (e.g. 50 ml). Robotic aspiration from this type of vessel requires a higher dead volume. Therefore, the amount of the EB required for automation might exceed the amount delivered in the kit. If this is the case, the EB can simply be substituted by 10 mM TRIS pH 8.0.
