Can I use RTL with FFPE/low quality samples?
It is not recommended to process degraded RNA and FFPE samples with the RTL chemistry. We recommend using RTM for these sample types.
RTL is designed to generate longer inserts and should be used with intact input RNA. If RTL is used with degraded / FFPE RNA, library length may be shortened, yield may be impacted, and more artifacts may be generated.
If you are working with FFPE samples, a new CORALL version specifically optimized for processing FFPE samples is now available: CORALL FFPE Whole Transcriptome RNA-Seq library prep (Cat. No. 219-220, 233-234).
