How can I determine the amount of globin mapping reads in my sequencing data?
The percentage of reads mapping to globin mRNAs is calculated as the fraction of read counts uniquely mapping to globin genes, divided by the total number of uniquely mapped reads.
If your QuantSeq data were analyzed via our Kangooroo data analysis platform, you will find the uniquely mapped read count file in the resulting output files. For more information on output files, please see this Online FAQ: What output files do I get with Kangooroo?
Please find below the lists Ensembl gene IDs for human and pig globin genes are provided in the tables below.
