What is the difference between the PCR Add-on Kit and the PCR Add-on and Reamplification Kit V2?

The PCR Add-on and Reamplification Kit V2 (Cat. No. 208) includes a new and improved PCR system and combines the functions of the PCR Add-on Kit (Cat. No. 020) and the Reamplification Add-on Kit (Cat. No. 080) in one single kit.

In the V2 Kit, the PCR Mix “PM” and the PCR enzyme Mix “PE” replace the PCR Mix “PCR” and the Enzyme Mix “E” of the PCR Add-on Kit. Additionally, both primers used for qPCR (“P7” and “P5”) are now provided separately (they are not included in the PCR Mix), allowing for a universal use of the kit. For library reamplification, the V2 Reamplification primer Mix “RE” replaces the i7 reamplification Primer “i7-RE” included in the V1 Kit.

NOTE: With the updated PCR system, a new PCR program has also been implemented. Please refer to the respective User Guide for details.

IMPORTANT: For the qPCR assay, the new PCR Add-on and Reamplification Kit V2 is not recommended in combination with older versions (V1) of QuantSeq and CORALL (see table below).
